Dr. Peter Buerhaus, a nursing shortage expert conducted a study and reveals that 80% of registered nurses believe that nursing shortage has a major impact on their ability to render high-quality care.
The nation relies so much on nurses. They are the missing link between doctor and patient and they are considered to be the patient’s advocate. Without them, professional doctors can never perform and do their job well. This goes the same way with our health care system. Without nurses, health care system is dysfunctional.
As much as they want to improve and cope up with the increasing demand of patient care, they cannot do anything because of massive nursing shortage. There are a lot of nursing vacancies on health care sectors. Incoming nurses however, are fewer in number and is definitely not suffice to fill-in these thousands of nursing vacancies.
Nursing agencies are known to develop and recruit nurses from countries who have more than enough that what their county needs (e.g. Philippines). This is why starting a nursing agency business is so lucrative.
Starting a nursing agency is every entrepreneur’s desire. They initiated this business as an answer to the growing nursing shortage. By starting a nursing agency, they will be able to help their country’s need of qualified and experienced nurses, as well as creating huge income of their own. It’s almost like killing two birds with one stone.
