Concentration and Specialization seems to be the same but The two words they are far from each other in the IT world. Although, You may be a programmer which is the area you are putting your focus, but we should understand that under programing, you have, PHP, JAVA, ASP. HTML. etc. Specialization in this mean i choosing PHP and leave the rest for others. despite how skilled you may be, if you major in both JAVA and PHP, you can never be as skilled as the one that study and major only on PHP. This is when the power of Specialization comes in. we call this vision and passion in career world. I will prefer to patronize a shop that sell babies cloth only for my children clothes than to go to a shop that sell both old and kiddies clothes.

Personal Development- Just as i have told you earlier, What you are taught in school can never be sufficient to enter the IT world. IT career always call for new innovations so you must always keep updated. read wide, try many things develop new things. Always ask for new question and do try to search the answer, By this, you are preparing yourself for greater position in IT world.

Backup Your knowledge- You need to take some professional examinations to backup your knowledge else you will be under paid in your field. Let your employer know that you have result to back up your knowledge. examples of such exams are Oracle, Java, Microsoft Certified Examination etc.
